India Post GDS Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 28000 Vacancies
The India Post (Department of Posts) has officially released the recruitment notification for 28000 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts under the Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak categories apply online from start date January 2026 to February 2026 through the official website www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 40 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwD: 10 Years
- PwD + OBC: 13 Years
- PwD + SC/ST: 15 Years
Documents Required:
- 10th Class Marksheet/Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- PwD Certificate (if applicable).

India Post GDS Vacancy 2026 Qualification candidates must have completed 10th with passing marks in Mathematics and English. The age limit for applying ranges from 18 to 40 years depending on the category with category-wise age relaxation applicable as per rules. The selection process will be conducted based on a Merit List prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard examination. There is no written examination.
